- Account information: name, email address, date of birth, location.
- Profile information: photos, bio, travel preferences, languages.
- Usage data: discovery actions, companion connections, messages, Circles joined.
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version.
We collect your date of birth to enforce the 18+ age requirement described in our terms of service.
§2How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Connect you with compatible travel companions.
- Provide and improve our services.
- Send you relevant notifications about companion connections and messages.
- Ensure safety and security of our platform.
§3Information sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- With other users as part of your public profile.
- With service providers who help us operate Flyte.
- When required by law or to protect safety.
You control whether your home location is part of what other travellers see. What is shown by default is where you are going and when.
§4Data storage & security
Your data is stored securely with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
§5Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data.

- Delete your account and associated data — in the app under Profile → Settings, or from any browser at meetflyte.com/delete-account (no app or login required).
- Export your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
When you delete your account, your profile, photos, messages, companion connections, and Circles are permanently deleted (Circles you created are handed off to another member), and all of your sessions are revoked. We retain limited records after deletion only where necessary for safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance — for example moderation reports about serious safety issues — and we delete or anonymise those when they are no longer required.
If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
§6Cookies & tracking
Our website uses minimal analytics to improve the user experience. The Flyte app does not use third-party advertising trackers.
